After videos of two girls engaging in sexual activities with an unidentified man circulated online, many social media users claimed one of them was Miss Muyango Claudine. In response, the National Police Investigation Bureau (RIB) has begun an investigation into those involved in spreading the videos.
Recently, Miss Muyango addressed the issue on X, stating that the videos were not hers and that she had reported the matter to the authorities.
In an interview with IGIHE, Dr. Murangira B. Thierry, spokesperson for RIB, confirmed that Miss Muyango had filed a complaint, and an investigation is underway.
“Yes, we have received Miss Muyango’s complaint and have started the investigation. More information is confidential as we are still looking into the matter,” he said.
The spread of these videos on social media, which falsely attributed the actions to Miss Muyango, prompted her to seek legal action to clear her name, especially since she was not involved in the content depicted.
In a message to social media users, Dr. Murangira urged caution against engaging in criminal activities online.
“Having social media platforms does not give you immunity or the right to share inappropriate images and videos,” he stated.
“Having a YouTube channel or a large following on social media does not give you the right to attack others or invade someone’s privacy.”
Dr. Murangira reminded users that the National Police Investigation Bureau will not tolerate such offenses.
