Bizimana Djihad Joins Al Ahli Tripoli SC in Libya

Rwanda’s national team captain, Bizimana Djihad, has officially signed with Al Ahli Tripoli SC, a top-tier Libyan club, after leaving Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih from Ukraine’s Premier League. He spent a year and a half playing in Ukraine before making this move.

Al Ahli Tripoli SC teased their new signing by posting a darkened image that, upon closer inspection, revealed Bizimana’s silhouette. This subtle hint created excitement among fans before the official announcement.

Shortly before his departure, Bizimana expressed his gratitude to his former club, Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. He stated: “I will miss everyone. Thank you for your support and the great moments we shared. I wish the team continued success.”

During his time in Ukraine, Bizimana enjoyed a successful period, including competing in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. His team, Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, finished third in the Ukrainian league with 57 points, highlighting their strong performance.

Bizimana’s new club, Al Ahli Tripoli SC, is one of Libya’s most prestigious teams. The club has a massive fan base and a rich history of success in Libyan football.

Upon joining Al Ahli Tripoli, Bizimana will reunite with fellow Rwandan footballer Manzi Thierry and coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa, both of whom he previously worked with at Rayon Sports in Rwanda.

The 28-year-old midfielder has had an impressive football career, beginning with Etincelles FC in Rwanda, where he played until 2014. He then moved to Rayon Sports for a season before joining APR FC, where he spent three years.

His European football journey started in Belgium, where he played for Waasland-Beveren for three years before transferring to KMSK Deinze, where he spent two years. From there, he moved to Ukraine’s Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, where he played until his recent transfer to Al Ahli Tripoli SC.

Bizimana’s move to Libya marks another significant step in his football career. Playing in one of North Africa’s most competitive leagues, he will have the opportunity to showcase his talent on a new stage while contributing to the success of Al Ahli Tripoli SC.

This transfer reflects Bizimana’s continuous growth as a professional footballer and his ambition to compete at the highest levels of African football.
